I graduated on January the 19th, 2010 at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
I studied Illustration and our exam was composed of a series of assignments we had to finish
in 4 months time. U can check out my graduation work right here on this page.

I had to design a cover for the Dutch skate/surf/popculture magazine 'Reload'.
The theme of this particular issue is the fixed gear bike.

Olifant-lamp or Elephant-lamp in english, is a childrens book written by Barbara de Wolf.
I had to give my interpretation of the illustrations acompanying this lovely story.
If u wanna read the whole story just click on the image below.

De Parade is a traveling theater festival that comes to a few big cities every year.
I had to design the poster for this years festival.

An editorial assignment about a piece in a dutch magazine called 'HP de tijd'.
The text is about the advantages of stupidity and how smart and important people
can do stupid things.
It took sometime to get into the groove for this, but I think I managed to squize out
a pretty cool editorial illustration for this.

After my intern at 'Playlogic Gamefactory' I wanted to do something similair with my graduation work.
So I wrote my own plan for a conceptart assignment, It's about an action game based on the
Robin Hood legend, but with a twist. I redesigned Robin, Little John and the Sheriff.

Z.G.O. means, zelf geformuleerde opdracht, or in english, self innitiated assignment.
In short it means that I had to think of something that I really wanted to do and then do it.
After some consideration I decided to finally make a comic, I always wanted to do this,
but somehow never did, so this was the perfect time to start. Because I'm not much
of a writer I decided to use one of the best childrens books ever written and base my comic
on that.

We didn't know when we were gonna get this assignment, but we had to finish it in one week.
The assignment turned out to be something totally different. We had to come up with
a christmas package that a company could hand-out to their employees at christmas in
in times of financial crisis. I made this box wich was a little tongue-in-cheek. It actually
meant that the employee was gonna get fired.
